・コンセプト
今回は「悲しい女とだめな男の12曲！」とか銘打たれてるけど、いつもどおりの歌詞です。
このいつもどおりの歌詞なんだけど改めて気づかされたのが【陽だまりの雨】を歌ってもらった
【ユミコ・ユミング】と歌詞について話した時。
彼女はとても歌詞世界を大事にしてくれて、尚且つ以前からのDaimonも知ってる。
自分の歌詞は女のことをよく歌うことも知ってた。
彼女が言うには
「歌詞に出てくるその女性像というのは自分の理想的な女性像ではないか？」という事だった。
言われてみればそうなのかもしれない。その中でも自分が描くのは女の弱さだ。
その女の悲しさを、感情を、自分の言葉で書くと非常に演歌的だが、現代的な感覚になる気がした。
今も昔も女の弱さは儚くて、美しくて、いじらしくて、官能的だ。
そんな訳で今回は特に【男女】に接点を置いた歌詞、つながるストーリーになってる。
で、そこを追求するにはやっぱり3人の女性ゲストボーカルは必然だったわけです。
もともと女性ボーカルを使いたい気持ちはあったのだけど、うまく表現と唄がマッチした。

・アートワーク
【Vega.の催涙雨】というタイトル。Vega＝織姫星　催涙雨＝七夕にふる雨。
という事で、足利の名所である織姫神社、七夕を通して男女の関係を表現してる。
今回描いてくれた【絵描き光】さんにはまず曲のラフミックスを聴いてもらい、現代的な絵と
和風な絵が混在してるように頼んだ。
このアートワーク非常にこのアルバムの内容を表してくれてる。
表紙の浮世絵、織姫を襲う彦星。
催涙雨で逢えなかった事による性的鬱憤を晴らしてるように見える。　
裏表紙の絵、赤い小指の糸を噛みちぎる狛犬。
足利のもう一つの名所門田稲荷、通称縁切り神社をモチーフにしてる。
恋愛成就の織姫神社、縁切りの門田稲荷。
足利はまさに男女の出会いと別れを体現する街であり、このアルバムはそれを表した。
